Matt joined the Glider Team at OTN in June of 2024. He is fascinated by developments in the ocean tech sector and wants to help push it further in his career.
Matt received his BSc in Oceanography with Honors from Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS. During his time at Dalhousie, he contributed to research in kelp ecology within the Eastern Shore Islands as well as a pilot study developing lab protocols for the study of North Atlantic sea cucumber species. Matt's thesis however, was focused on the development of a hydrofoiling data-acquisition platform as an honors student in the Barclay Acoustics Lab. After graduating from his BSc, Matt worked as the Response Operations Technician for the Marine Animal Response Society before joining CEOTR.
