The policy hub accelerator is an integral mechanism within TCA, designed to translate ocean-climate research into actionable policies that amplify the programme’s impact. By connecting science to decision-making, it ensures TCA’s findings shape governance at local, national, and international levels. The accelerator includes two core nodes: the MacEachen Institute of Public Policy and Governance in Nova Scotia and Communauté de pratique Politiques publiques et maritimité in Quebec.
Dalhousie University operates in the unceded territories of the Mi’kmaw, Wolastoqey, and Peskotomuhkati Peoples. These sovereign nations hold inherent rights as the original peoples of these lands, and we each carry collective obligations under the Peace and Friendship Treaties. Section 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982 recognizes and affirms Aboriginal and Treaty rights in Canada.
