Mass mortality of corals due to bleaching represents a radical shift in tropical reefs, challenging the future of these iconic ecosystems. On Wednesday, Nov. 21, Professor Terry Hughes — this year’s recipient of the A.G. Huntsman Medal for Excellence in Marine Science — will examine the current mix of management interventions, and propose new options for securing a future for coral reefs.
