The Ocean Frontier Institute has launched Indigenous Cultural Awareness Training for its researchers and staff.
At this time, training is only available to OFI-affiliated researchers and staff due to license agreements. Access to our Indigenous Engagement Guide is open to the public.
Training is available at Dalhousie University, Memorial University, and UPEI (through guest login at Dalhousie).
For OFI-Dalhousie learners
- Login to Brightspace (dal.brightspace.com) using your net id and password
- Click on Academic Support from the menu bar
- Choose Self Registration
- Click on the Course “The Path: Your Journey Through Indigenous Canada”
- Confirm your information then click Register
- You will be notified once your registration is approved
For OFI-Memorial learners
- Please contact OFIAdmin@mun.ca to register
- You will be provided with a registration link for “The Path: Your Journey Through Indigenous Canada”
- Click on the link and you will be directed to log into the Memorial Portal. You will require your MUN login ID (or email address) and password
- By completing the steps above, you will be automatically enrolled in the course
- Once you have completed the training, please email a copy of your certificate to OFIAdmin@mun.ca
For other OFI learners
- Contact ariel.smith@ofi.ca who will assign you a username and password
- Login to Brightspace (dal.brightspace.com) using your assigned username and password
- Click on the Course “The Path: Your Journey Through Indigenous Canada”
