The Ocean Graduate Excellence Network (OGEN) connects exceptional graduate students with leading academic researchers, government partners, industry, NGOs, and international collaborators to advance ocean focused research aligned with the Transforming Climate Action (TCA) program.

OGEN supports the next generation of ocean professionals through competitive stipends, professional development funding, and hands-on, real-world experience. OGEN trains students to work across the ocean–climate interface. Graduate student scholars pursue a degree at their home university while participating in professional development activities within the OGEN network.

The Academic Advisory Committee (ACC) for the Ocean Graduate Excellence Network is focused on academic quality and integrity.

The committee advises on processes, provides strategy recommendations and coordination and a point of contact for collaboration between universities and the program.
