Who are you?
I am a Master of Marine Management Candidate at Dalhousie University. My passions include participatory marine spatial planning, environmental governance, and capacity-building for equitable research processes in diverse communities.
Where are you from and where did you grow up?
I was born and raised in Southern Ontario, on the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
What is your favourite outdoor activity?
Hiking, gardening, and being under the sun!
What is your favourite place in the world? Why?
My father's childhood home in Karachi, Pakistan.
Why are you involved in this project?
I will be working with Dr. Rachael Cadman to investigate the barriers to achieving data sovereignty, and startegies to make collaborative resarch processes more equitable.
How does it relate to Nunatsiavut?
I will specifically be working the researchers from the Nunatsiavut Research Centre who are involved in the Imappivut Knowledge Study.
