The Ocean Frontier Institute will host a virtual workshop aimed at developing and building consensus on a comprehensive biodiversity strategy.
Biodiversity is one of three research pillars for OFI. The aim of the strategy is to identify and describe key areas that should form a core focus when moving forward with work in this area.
Participants will include researchers from Dalhousie University, Memorial University, and the University of Prince Edward Island, as well as international attendees.
Keynote speakers will highlight the importance of ocean biodiversity (e.g., to policy, industry, economy, climate, or communities), summarize key issues that are important, and describe opportunities for organizations to engage in research and develop solutions, guidance, and or policy.
