Sara Leslie is a science communicator with a decade of professional experience in writing and editing. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University, as well as a Bachelor of Journalism and a Master of Fine Arts in creative nonfiction from the University of King's College. In 2020, Sara received the RBC Emerging Artist Award for creative nonfiction writing from Nova Scotia Talent Trust.
In her role as Director of Communications and Public Relations, Sara is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to share OFI’s story, advance key messages, and support the Institute’s strategic goals. She also leads OFI’s digital and social media efforts, broadcast media strategy, brand management, and relationship-building initiatives.
