The Ocean Sciences Meeting (OSM) is a conference for the ocean sciences and the larger ocean-connected community. Every two years, OSM unifies the oceans community to share findings, connect scientists from around the world, and advance the impact of science.
Ronnie Noonan‑Birch, Science and Policy Manager, and Brad Covey, Chief Data Officer at OFI, will be attending the event. Ronnie will deliver a presentation on OFI’s North Atlantic Carbon Observatory as part of the Codesigning Synergistic Ocean Observing Systems for Impact: Addressing End User Needs in Ocean and Climate Monitoring and Prediction session.
Dr. Carolyn Buchwald, Canada Research Chair in Ocean Chemistry at Dalhousie and a lead investigator’s for OFI’s CONVERGE CDR program, will present a poster titled Re-designing scientific approaches to marine carbon dioxide removal centered around co-design and ethical engagement. Dr. Kalina Grabb, CONVERGE CDR Research Lead and HERO Postdoctoral Researcher, will also deliver a presentation showcasing her ongoing work within the program. Her talk will focus on Creating co-designed biogeochemical models to assess secondary impacts of OAE on N2O production and nitrogen cycling processes.
