This event is open to Transforming Climate Action (TCA) researchers, HQPs, collaborators, and partners. The event will take place at the Abstract Café (located in Dalhousie’s Student Union Building on University Avenue), with the following schedule:
- Large Research Project (LRP) planning and anticipated timeline for Phase 2 of the program
- Current opportunities available to HQPs
- Experiences and insights from invited speakers participating in TCA programs
- Learn more about the work of HQPs across the TCA program
- Celebrate the top posters in each category
- Connect with fellow researchers from across the TCA community
- Exchange ideas and explore opportunities for new collaborations across LRPs
This event will take place on Monday, September 28, at the Baromètre at UQAR, with the following schedule:
- An opportunity to connect with the scientific directors and ask questions about the program and Phase 2 of TCA
- Short presentations in a “virtual poster” format, along with research stories offering a glimpse into the work and experiences of the TCA community
- An informal opportunity to continue the conversation and connect with one another

This event is open to Transforming Climate Action (TCA) researchers, students, staff, and members of Memorial’s university community with an interest in learning about the TCA research program. The event will be a hybrid format—in person at the Ocean Frontier Institute space on the St. John’s Campus (5th floor, Core Science Facility, CSF5310) and online through Microsoft Teams (a meeting link will be provided to registrants).
- Lunch will be provided
- TCA students, postdoctoral fellows, and research support staff are invited to participate in this poster session and showcase their TCA research and related activities. All interested HQPs are encouraged to sign up!
- Presenters may bring a printed poster or choose to create or upload a digital poster using the iPoster platform. Our organizing team will follow-up with more information upon registration.
- Each presenter will be allocated approximately five minutes to discuss their poster and engage with attendees.
We invite everyone to join the poster session and explore the research being conducted across the TCA community.
- Interested in learning more about the TCA research program, connecting with fellow researchers and students, and/or sharing exciting updates from your work?
- Join us for this informal and interactive session that will provide a space to ask questions, exchange ideas, showcase initiatives, and explore opportunities for collaboration. The format will be flexible and driven by participant interests. Members of the TCA @ Memorial team will help facilitate the discussion.
This session is intended for all TCA researchers, students, staff, and members of Memorial’s university community with an interest in learning about the TCA research program.

TCA virtual event at all four partner institutions
- Join the TCA scientific directors to discuss updates and priorities for Phase 2 of the program. This session will provide an overview of expectations for Phase 2, guidance on the application process, and an opportunity to ask questions and receive feedback. Participants will also have the chance to discuss ideas, connect with colleagues, and learn more about upcoming TCA opportunities.
This session is intended for PIs who are already engaged in TCA and those who are interested in exploring opportunities to become involved in Phase 2.
- Explore the exciting research being conducted by TCA HQPs through an interactive multimedia poster platform. Browse virtual posters, learn about a wide range of research projects, and connect with HQPs across the TCA community.
We invite everyone to join the poster session and explore the research being conducted across the TCA community.
- This virtual networking session will bring together researchers from across the TCA research community to connect and share ideas for Phase 2 research initiatives and/or community-building activities. Participants can engage in open discussions, learn about each other's work, and identify opportunities for future collaboration in Phase 2.
