Vanessa Schiliro
Youth Ambassador
Vanessa is completing a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology at Dalhousie University, and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Concordia University.
Her current research investigates basking shark (Cetorhinus maximus) distribution in the Northwest Atlantic, and potential overlap with known threats such as fishing and vessel traffic in Dr. Boris Worm's research lab.
Beyond her interests in research, she is passionate about engaging a variety of audiences with topics in ocean science.
