Michael Vining

Mike comes from a blended employment background of the public and private sector. His career started in 2008 at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography as a term employee. This "term" translated into four years of invaluable experience. While at BIO Mike worked for the Ocean Physics department & Technical operations. His primary responsibilities related to configuring, deploying and retrieving oceanographic instrumentation, electronic/electrical fabrication testing and assembling, research & development and extensive time at sea. A shift to Rolls-Royce Marine and Naval was a natural transition, working on environmental sensing systems along with Military and Crown projects.

In 2014 Mike started working for Doug Wallace on the OST C.E.R.C team at Dalhousie University (projects of note: SeaCycler and Voluntary Observational Ships).

Mike has his diploma from NSCC as an Electronic Engineering Tech.
